Good things of the moment

1) We are so excited about this video for the Daily Northwestern about WILDCATwalk. But more than that, we are endlessly grateful to Demetrios Cokinos for doing such fantastic work to help us get our name out.
2) The formerly ubiquitous black North Faces are gradually disappearing. We can sense some prime street styles approaching.
3) Upcoming partnerships with NU Intel and Stitch - more to come.

To all of our loyal followers...

As we are sure you have noticed, there has been a bit of a lull in the updating of our beloved WILDCATwalk. We promise that it is not because Northwestern has been slacking in it's stylishness; obviously, if the NU student population can still be chic in the deadest points of winter, then this will never be the case. The truth is that our official WILDCATwalk camera was recently broken in a freak accident. Regardless, we promise that upon the start of spring quarter, we will find other ways to deliver our fashion observations to the community. In the meantime, enjoy your breaks everyone!

A Street Style Story

Check out this article from the Spring Fashion edition of New York Magazine.  It profiles our artistic  inspiration for WILDCATwalk, The Sartorialist's Scott Schuman, and his relationship with another street style aficionado. Evidently we are not the only pair of fashion bloggers who are a couple. Great minds date alike.

Outside Francis Searle Hall

We love the way that the patterns of this student's scarf, gloves and sweater play off of each other and off the beat-up lace-up boots that can be seen below.

This color palate of olive, camel, and plum is subtle but striking. 

Next to Annie May Swift

We loved the unconventional olive green in this man's coat and the bold stripes of his chunky scarf. But our favorite part of his outfit? He asked to keep his headphones on for the picture.

North of the Arch

In a furry trapper's hat, black flat leather boots, and a wool coat, this student looks simple and chic while handling the cold. 

North of Kresge

This pair looked fierce post-blizzard in bold stripes, tall black boots and sharp glasses. 

West of University Hall

This orange coat brightened our grey winter day. And we always love the classic trend of worn-in brown leather found in this briefcase. 

South Campus Quad

This look exemplifies the perfect combination of coziness and style. The fuzzy earmuffs and scarf represent everything we love about winter. 

Peet's Coffee

Although we found this gentleman off of NU's campus, we couldn't get enough of his collegiate vibe.

We loved the way that this young woman created a respectable style with her herringbone pants and then wowed us with the spunk of her worn-in lace-up boots. 

Mallard Duck, Lake Fill

Although we are mostly attuned to the human aesthetic here at WILDCATwalk, we are also often struck by the beauty of the animal community here at Northwestern. This Mallard duck's brilliant green head is the perfect example of such.

We couldn't help but be drawn to the creative vibe elicited by this gentlemen's glasses hat and headphones combination. 

Outside Seabury

We love how this student's vibrant blue infinity scarf pairs with the interesting texture of her coat.

On Sheridan

The combination of trapper hat and throwback Ray Bans give this outfit a chic edge, especially when matched with this slimming belted coat. 

Fourth Floor University Hall

By effortlessly rocking this sweater, this teacher proves that Northwestern faculty too has style. In the words of Matt, "My Japanese professor is the coolest."

In the midst of Evanston's long, brutal winter, there is nothing we love more than a student who works a look that battles the cold in an innovative way. This bomber jacket and helmut are perfectly badass.

The scarf adds a nice touch to the look.  Plus the shoes are just dope, which can be seen after the jump.
